New Heights was founded with a mission to strengthen families and build a more connected community. Through programs like our food pantry, mentoring initiatives, and resource center, we provide holistic support that goes beyond immediate needs. Our work is rooted in dignity, trust, and a commitment to creating lasting impact.

New Heights Community Resource Center is an innovative partnership between the Tuscaloosa City Schools and local area non-profits to ensure that the needs of TCS students, their families and the broader community are being met. Services provided by New Heights have five areas of specific focus: Education, Homelessness & Homelessness Prevention, Youth Services, Mental Health, Healthcare These areas help support our students and families throughout their educational journey and help them to reach new heights.

New Heights is dedicated to supporting families through access to food, mentorship, and essential community resources. We believe every family deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we work every day to meet people where they are with compassion and care. Whether you’re seeking support or looking to give back, there’s a place for you here.

Over the past year, we have served nearly 100,000 pounds of food to thousands of community members. With the help of our community partners, we have provided more than 100 free eye exams, served 6,985 family members, and 4,843 students under 18.
